Mythily Graduated from the Armed Forces Medical College in Prune, India in 1995. She worked as a medical officer and later as consultant ENT surgeon in the Indian Army until 2006 when she moved to Australia. Mythily started her internship in Calvary Hospital Canberra and then took a job as RMO in Wollongong Hospital. Mythily completed her FRACGP in 2016 through the registrar program.
