Dr Miriam Kapel (GP)

Dr Kapel graduated from the University of Sydney in 1990. She completed her early postgraduate training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Sydney Children’s Hospital, going on to complete three years of postgraduate training in psychiatry.

She became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2000. She has worked in general practice in inner city and outer suburban practices in Sydney and has spent time working at the Kirketon Road Centre in Kings Cross providing care to at-risk persons.

She is a Clinical Senior Lecturer with the University of Wollongong and is involved in teaching medical students from the University of Wollongong. Dr Kapel also currently works at Headspace Illawarra with at-risk young people aged 12-25.
