Dr Michelle Hunt graduated in Medicine at the University of Sydney in 1989, and worked at Royal Prince Alfred and Concord Hospitals before successfully obtaining her Dermatology entrance exam in 1990. She was admitted to the degree of Master of Medicine at the University of Sydney in 1992. Following this, Michelle worked at the Sydney Sexual Health Centre and in part time General Practice before commencing dermatology training, attaining Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 1997.

In 1998 Michelle undertook a twelve month Fellowship in Mohs’ Micrographic Surgery and Laser Dermatology at the Skin & Cancer Foundation, Westmead, obtaining membership with the American College of Mohs’ Micrographic Surgery. She then worked for a number of years in the Western Sydney area and as a Visiting Medical Officer at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. In July 2006, Michelle co-founded Inner Sydney Dermatology. She is currently also an Emeritus Visiting Medical Officer at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Mohs’ Surgeon at the Skin & Cancer Foundation, Westmead.

Michelle is widely regarded as one of Sydney’s leading laser and cosmetic Dermatologists. Her special interests are in cosmetic and laser dermatology, and the management of skin cancer. Michelle also plays an active role in the teaching of Dermatology trainees and GPs
