Originally from Canada, Dr Slater completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney and worked at St George Hospital in Kogarah before coming to Kiama to complete his training in General Practice. He is experienced in caring for patients of all ages and has a particular interest in child and adolescent health, having completed a Diploma in Child Health through the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. He also has interests in mental health, men’s health and the care of the elderly.
