After graduating from the University of Queensland in 1983 Dr Read worked for two years at Royal Brisbane & Prince Charles Hospitals before taking up the position as Medical Superintendent with Right of Private Practice in a rural community.
For twenty years he provided all the medical services to this community, including emergency care, surgery, obstetrics and general practice medicine. Dr Read now runs the Vasectomy Venue & Gold Coast Circumcisions at Health HQ as well as continuing to see many General Practice patients.
