Michael McCleave is an Adelaide trained Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. He has completed fellowship training in hand and microsurgery at the Kleinert Institute in the USA, a paediatric plastic surgery Fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children in London and the Mentor International Aesthetic/Cosmetic Fellowship in London.
Michael is currently a Senior Consultant at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre and Repatriation General Hospital. He is a Clinical Senior Lecturer within the School of Medicine at the University of Adelaide. He is actively involved in the teaching of surgical registrars and has an ongoing research interest. He is currently the President of the South Australian Hand Surgery Society.
He has an interest in all plastic and reconstructive surgery with a particular interest in skin cancers, hand surgery, cosmetic surgery, paediatric plastic surgery, microsurgery, nerve surgery, abdominal wall surgery and post-weight loss surgery. His personal approach is to give patients honest and clear advice on the treatment options so they can make an informed decision about the option best suited to them. Cosmetic procedures use the latest short scar minimally invasive techniques and he only uses FDA approved implants.
Michael consults at 309 Wakefield Street, Adelaide and at the Victor Medical Centre in Victor Harbor. He operates at the Wakefield Surgicentre, Calvary Wakefield Hospital, Burnside Hospital and the South Coast District Hospital in Victor Harbor.
