Dr McAuliffe completed his orthopaedic training in Queensland in 2004. Following completion of his training he worked at the Adidas Sports Medicine Centre in Auckland and has also spent time visiting numerous other orthopaedic centres around the world.
Dr McAuliffe was the Director of Orthopaedics at the Ipswich General Hospital for 4 years from 2006 - 2010. Prior to this he worked as the Deputy Director of Orthopaedics at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. Dr McAuliffe will perform private work at Mater Private Hospital Springfield.
Michael is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association, The Australian Knee Society, The American Hip and Knee Association and is a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland. His special area of interest is all knee surgery and hip replacement surgery.
