Dr. Micah Truant graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine, bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2015. Originally from Canada, Micah has fallen in love with Australia and living on the beautiful coast of New South Wales.
In her time outside of work, she enjoys exploring all of the local trails and beaches that Coffs Harbour and Woolgoolga have to offer with her partner and dog. Prior to medicine, Micah has completed two Bachelor of Science degrees in Biological Sciences and Anthropology.
Since completing her internship in Rockhampton, Micah has gone on to work at a major tertiary hospital in Brisbane completing rotations in Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Gastroenterology and Emergency Medicine.
Micah has most recently completed a further year of Emergency Medicine at the Tweed Hospital in 2018. Micah is excited to join the Beach Street Family Practice team in 2019. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice and is especially interested in preventative medicine, women’s health, and paediatric/Adolescent health. She truly believes in a holistic approach to health and wellbeing and looks forward to working with clients to achieve their best health and quality of life
