Originally from Perth, Meryl graduated from Monash University Melbourne in 1980 and worked in anatomical pathology for some years before going into general practice in the upper Yarra Valley. She moved with her family to Albany and joined the Practice in July 2003. As a side interest, she performed autopsies for the local coroner until 2013. Now also a part-time writer and medical blogger.
