Dr Melissa Weinberg (Psychologist)

Melissa is a psychologist and research consultant with expertise in the science of wellbeing and resilience. Her work focuses on quality of life in different population subgroups, including young people, elite and professional athletes, carers, Holocaust survivors and their families, veteran populations, people with chronic illness, and people with cancer and their families. Melissa’s approach incorporates elements of neuropsychotherapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy, and she has specific experience working with trauma, anxiety, loss, and life transitions. She has authored book chapters, scientific journal articles, and research reports, and has appeared on various TV and radio programs as an expert on the science of happiness. Melissa is an Honorary Fellow of the Australian Centre on Quality of Life at Deakin University.​
