Dr Melanie Smith was born and raised in Adelaide and graduated from Flinders University before living and working interstate in the IT industry.
After completing her medical degree at the University of Sydney in 2008, she worked in various roles in the NSW public hospital system before returning to South Australia with her family in 2010. Dr Smith has worked extensively in emergency medicine prior to commencing GP training in 2013. She has special interests in paediatrics, women’s health, mental health and general medicine.
