Dr Megan Byrnes is a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special interest in infertility and IVF. She is a graduate from Sydney University completing her Bachelor of Medical Science in 2002 and in 2006 was awarded a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Dr Byrnes completed her internship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. In 2007, Megan relocated to Perth and undertook her initial specialist training at King Edward Memorial Hospital for Women at Subiaco , and completed her senior training at Joondalup Health Campus. She has completed her Masters Degree in Reproductive Medicine at the University of New South Wales.
In her obstetric practice, she is dedicated to caring for mothers and their babies and optimising their birth experience in the safest way possible. She can manage both uncomplicated and complicated pregnancies and deliveries.
Megan is interested in all aspects of gynaecology particularly endometriosis, complex laparoscopic surgery, infertility, polycystic ovarian syndrome, menstrual management, contraception and family planning.
