Dr Okera trained at the University of Adelaide and graduated in 2001. She began her specialist training at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, and completed it at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, London.
She practiced as a Consultant Medical Oncologist at the Royal Darwin Hospital and was involved in a number of key service development projects for cancer care in the Northern Territory. She continues to be a visiting Medical Oncologist at Alice Springs Hospital, catering for cancer patients in central Australia.
Dr Okera joined the Adelaide Cancer Centre team in July 2013 and consults at both our Kurralta Park site and Burnside Hospital.
