Dr Matthew Seymour is an Endocrinologist and General Physician. He trained in a number of local South East Queensland hospitals including the Royal Brisbane and Women’s and Mater Hospitals and is currently a staff specialist at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Redcliffe Hospital. Dr Seymour has a keen interest and expertise in a number of endocrine conditions including the management of obesity, type 1 and 2 diabetes, thyroid disorders, calcium disorders, osteoporosis and hypogonadism.
Dr Seymour obtained his medical degree from The University of Queensland in 2006. Before studying medicine, he completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree and was awarded a university medal from The University of Queensland. He was also awarded first class honours for his research in the field of molecular biology. He is an associate clinical lecturer with The University of Queensland.
Dr Seymour is a member of the Endocrine Society of Australia and the Australian and New Zealand Metabolic and Obesity Surgery Society. Outside of medicine Matthew enjoys spending time with his young family and exploring the outdoors.
