Katy graduated from Liverpool University in 1991. She spent several years in New Zealand where she worked in the field of Sexual Health. This sparked an interest in Women’s Health and preventive medicine. Katy returned to the UK where she completed training in General Practice and Public Health, sub-specialising in communicable disease control. She returned to the field of General Practice in 2010 and was partner in a GP practice in North Wales before relocating to Brisbane with her husband’s work. Yoga and swimming keep her flexible and fit and she enjoys reading, learning Italian and playing the piano in her free time.
