Dr Boyling completed her medical degree (MBBS) in 1995 at the University of Adelaide South Australia before moving to the Hunter Valley to complete her general practice training ( FRACGP) in 2000. She also completed a Diploma of Paediatrics (Hunter Postgraduate Medical Institute - HPGMI) in 2000. Since that time she has worked as a general practitioner regularly performing skin cancer checks and minor surgical procedures. After completing a Melanoma Course in 2006 run by HPGMI and The Newcastle Melanoma Unit, Dr Boyling commenced working at Maitland Skin Cancer Clinic in February 2015 as well as continuing her general practitioner career in Maitland. Dr Boyling completed certificates in dermoscopy (a diagnostic technique for skin cancers) and skin cancer medicine in 2015, the Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery in 2016, and the Advanced Clinical Certificate of Dermoscopy in 2017 (all through the Skin Cancer College of Australasia). She is an accredited member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia (SCCA) and is currently studying to complete the Diploma of Dermoscopy. Dr Boyling has a family with three children, three horses, one dog and two turtles, keeping her very busy! In her spare time she enjoys gardening, horse riding and running, having just completed her first marathon.
