Dr Ritossa commenced private practice in September 2000. A member of the Australian Endoscopy Society, he obtained his medical degree at The University of Adelaide in 1992. He is extensively trained in laparoscopic and vaginal surgery, having worked both in Australia and the United Kingdom as well as undertaking a travelling fellowship in the United States. He is a recognised teacher of laparoscopic surgery and has a teaching post at the Lyell McEwin Hospital in South Australia, where he is the Division Director (Medical) of the Women’s and Children’s Division.
