Dr Mark Schutze was trained at the University of WA and later in a variety of WA hospitals.
He initially qualified as a General Practitioner and worked in this area for 5 years. He then undertook specialist training in Anaesthesia. During this time he developed an interest in Pain Medicine and pursued a second specialist qualification in Pain Medicine.
He was awarded the Barbara Walker Prize for Excellence in Pain Medicine in 2007.
Since that time he has worked as a Consultant Anaesthetist and Pain Medicine Specialist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and various other Perth hospitals
He has attended numerous international conferences and workshops to ensure that he remains up to date with the latest Pain Management techniques.
