Dr McDonald has been practising Ophthalmology in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions since 2003. He is a graduate of the University of Queensland and trained in Ophthalmology in Adelaide, completing his training in Melbourne.
He holds VMO appointments at Shellharbour Private Hospital and in Shoalhaven and Wollongong. Prior to entering Ophthalmic training Dr McDonald trained in general surgery and neurosurgery and has published in local and international peer reviewed journals.
Dr McDonald has special interests in the latest techniques in small incisions, cataract surgery, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease.
