Dr Mark Higney completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of Glasgow, Scotland.
Thereafter he entered a specialist physician training programme and completed a fellowship in General/Acute Medicine and passed the specialist examination of the Royal College of Physicians in London, UK.
He then completed his specialist training in Anaesthesia in the UK culminating in obtaining a Consultant Anaesthetic position in a major teaching hospital in Glasgow in 2006.
Mark relocated to Sydney in 2007 and completed dual specialist training in both Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine. During this period Mark completed the specialist qualifications of both the Australian Anaesthetic and Intensive Care colleges.
Dr Higney now works as a Specialist Anaesthetist in both public and private practice in the St George region. His practice includes Anaesthesia for major cancer/liver surgery, urology, orthopaedics, trauma/emergency surgery and day surgery.
