Margaret is a mother of four (including twins), qualifying from the University of Queensland in 1988. She loves theatre, all forms of dance, hiking, travel (a confessed Egyptophile) and has travelled as a Medical Officer for many youth sporting teams.
Margaret strongly believes in preventative, holistic, intergenerational care. She is committed to improving access to mental health care and has a keen interest in child and adolescent health.
After many years working as a GP in Brisbane's Western Suburbs in the Jindalee area, Margaret later took up a special interest position working alongside psychiatrists in the New Farm Clinic mental health facility, where she developed a reputation as skilled in applying a generalist lens to caring for individuals with complex mental health issues.
