Dr Lynda Spelman is a University of Queensland graduate. She worked in general practice for four years before commencing and subsequently completing her fellowship in the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 1993. Dr Spelman has worked full time in private practice, initially at South East Dermatology until her move to Specialist Connect in 2009. She has been the Honorary Secretary of the Queensland Skin and Cancer Foundation (QSCF) trading at the Queensland Institute of Dermatology (QID) since its inception in 2000. For more than 25 years Dr Spelman has been involved in a broad range of dermatological clinical research. It is an important focus of her clinical practice and enables her to bring cutting edge therapies to dermatology patients at Specialist Connect. This research offers her the opportunity to be involved in new and innovative treatments for dermatological conditions including atopic dermatitis, chronic plaque psoriasis, basal cell carcinoma and inflammatory skin disorders.
