A former professional rugby union player Dr Luke Inman is now a full time Sports and Exercise Medicine Doctor who currently practices at Peninsula Orthopaedics, Dee Why and Narrabeen Sports and Exercise Medicine Centre, treating patients with a variety of sports related injuries and illnesses.

Dr Inman has been a qualified doctor since finishing his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree at the University of Sydney in 2006. He also holds a Bachelor of Medical Science Degree with Honours in Muscle Fatigue and a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine, completed with Distinction in 2011. He is a Senior Registrar of the Australasian College of Sports Physicians, completing his primary exams in 2009.

Dr Inman is the team doctor for the Australian Rugby Union mens and womens Seven-a-side teams and the part-time team doctor for the NSW Waratahs Super Rugby team and the Sydney Swans reserve grade doctor.

He has covered a plethora of sports in addition to Rugby Union and AFL such as Rugby League, Tennis, Athletics, Muay-Thai kick boxing and Cirque Du Soleil.

In addition to his role in assisting elite professional sports teams, Dr Luke Inman assists a wide variety of patients, young and old, by treating their injuries and returning them to their former physical function.

His clinical expertise is in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of exercise related medical conditions and musculo skeletal injuries. Dr Inman regularly treats patients who need help with the non-surgical management of long standing tendon pain such as; achilles tendinosis (aka achilles tendinitis), plantar fasciitis, hamstring tendinosis, 'tennis elbow' and osteoarthritis pain in those not yet suitable for total knee or hip joint replacement.

He is very experienced in the specialised use of Platelet Rich Plasma injections (PRP), Corticosteroid (Cortisone), Synvisc (Hyaluronic acid), Dextrose injections (Prolotherapy) and Shockwave Therapy for the treatment of arthritic pain and tendon related pain.
