Dr Luan Huynh MBBS PhD FRACP FCSANZ has special interest in cardiovascular imaging, non-invasive cardiac testing for ischaemic heart disease, diagnosis and management of valvular heart disease and difficult to control hypertension. He welcomes new and returning patients with the full spectrum of adult cardiology problems.
Having graduated from Adelaide University in 2001, Luan completed his internship the following year at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. He continued on to postgraduate studies at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital before undertaking his PhD at Flinders University in 2006 in cardiovascular epidemiology. His research has contributed to cardiovascular reference material and has been published in peer reviewed medical journals.
Luan completed his specialty cardiology training at Flinders Medical Centre and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2009. He subsequently undertook a subspecialty clinical fellowship in echocardiography at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
With advanced expertise in echocardiography, including transoesophageal echocardiography and stress echocardiography, Luan is also qualified in CT coronary angiography and has an interest in cardiac MRI.
Luan’s goal is to provide patients with an empathetic medical experience that helps them to feel comfortable and in control of their situation. He takes pride in staying on top of the most modern and up-to-date medical information in his field.
