Dr Owen graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2003. Her hospital experience includes Emergency and General Medicine, Geriatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Infectious Diseases (including Sexual Health), Paediatrics, Psychiatry, General Surgery and Coronary Care. She subsequently studied for a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and since 2007 has worked in General Practice. She became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and won the prize for the top candidate in WA in early 2010. She is interested in all aspects of general practice including womens’s health, fertility, family planning, men’s health, psychology, paediatrics, geriatrics, nutritional medicine, skin checks and excision of lesions, joint injections, surgical treatment of ingrown toenails, insertion and removal of IUCDs. In her spare time she enjoys exercising and spending time with her young family.
