After completing his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours in 2005, Dr Lionel Wu has undergone specialist GP training in various hospitals and GP clinics throughout Victoria before acquiring his Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2009. During his training in General Practice, he has undertaken additional training in the field of Paediatric with Westmead's Children's Hospital in Sydney where he was awarded the Graduate Diploma in Child Health in 2007 and since then he has been practicing predominantly as a Paediatric GP in Melbourne in addition to his general practice work. As part of his general practice work, Dr. Lionel Wu also conducts regular health assessment, employment medicals, pregnancies, contraceptive advice, mental health consultation and minor surgeries such as implanon insertion and removal and skin cancer surgeries. Dr. Wu is also a senior examiner for the Royal Australian Colleges of General Practitioners. Apart from English, Dr. Lionel Wu is fluent in Mandarin and Hokkien.
