Lindsay provides assessments and treatment for behavioural, social and emotional difficulties in children, adolescents and young adults. She takes a systemic approach to working with children and adolescents, recognizing the role of family relationships and support in ongoing assessment and management of difficulties. When working with families, Lindsay recognizes the need to be flexible in her approach to assessment and therapy, building on the strengths of each family member and the family as a whole, while supporting efforts to manage and modify difficulties and relationship issues. Lindsay uses a range of approaches to suit each unique client and family, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mentalising Based Therapy (MBT), Family and Systems Therapy, Play Therapy, and Parent Skills Training, and Gestalt Therapy among others. Lindsay has a supportive and respectful approach to therapy, and focuses on offering a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to learn about their way of being in the world through increased awareness of their styles of relating to others and their environment.
