Dr Les Koopowitz qualified as a doctor in 1983 in South Africa. After a number of years practicing in general medicine he specialised in psychiatry, qualifying in 1991. In 1995, Les and his family relocated to South Australia. When it became apparent that Adelaide was going to remain his home, Les took the exam and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand of Psychiatrists. Les divides his time between Health on Kensington and the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit at Hampstead where he practises in neuropsychiatry. He is heavily in training budding specialist in psychiatry and is also affiliated to the University of Adelaide as a Clinical Associate Professor lecturing in psychiatry and neuroscience.
