Dr Gray specialises general paediatrics and neonatology. She completed her degree at the University of Queensland. In 1992, she was employed as a paediatrician at Rockhampton Hospital and later took on the role of Director of Paediatrics and Director of Clinical Training. During that time, she developed the Paediatric Diabetes Clinic, introducing outreach subspecialist clinics and provided outreach clinics to Emerald and Woorabinda.
Dr Gray began her own private practice in 1998, however still continues work as VMO at Rockhampton and regularly attends regular conferences, journal reading and teleconferences.
