Dr Lauren Young is a Fellow of the Australasian College of dermatologists. She completed her dermatology training in Victoria and New South Wales, and was the recipient of the Australasian College of Dermatologists’ travelling fellowship award for the most meritorious performance in their annual national examinations. Lauren used this award to visit several major hospitals in Canada and the USA to further her training. Dr Young’s special interest lies in the surgical and non-surgical management of skin cancers. Lauren has recently returned to Melbourne City Dermatology after completing a twelve-month fellowship in Mohs surgery. Mohs surgery represents a specialised surgical technique, which offers an unparalleled cure rate for certain types of skin cancers. Lauren also holds appointments at The Alfred Hospital and the Skin and Cancer Foundation of Victoria. Dr Young is committed to providing excellent care to her patients.
