I was born in Bundaberg, Queensland. My first degree was a Bachelor of Medical Science studying the origins of anatomical dissection in Bologna, Italy. I completed my Medical Degree in 1990 through University of Queensland. After working in Brisbane and England, I moved to Sydney to undertake a Diploma of Obstetrics and my General Practice Specialist training. While working fulltime in General Practice, I also completed a Master of Family Medicine and Graduate Certificate in General Practice Psychiarty through Monash University. I moved back to Brisbane in 2000 working part-time in General Practice in between having children. In 2010, the family moved to Perth for my husband’s work.
My greatest achievements are my four children, including twin daughters, who are constantly challenging me. My life outside of work is consumed by my children and their busy lives.
