Dr Kylie Gulliford (Psychiatrist)

Dr Gulliford is an experienced child and adolescent psychiatrist. She completed degree’s in both Medicine and Psychology at the University of Sydney. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, training at RPA hospital. She then completed advanced training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Rivendell, Redbank House and Westmead Children’s hospital. She has worked as a consultant child psychiatrist at St George, Westmead children’s and Bankstown hospitals, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She currently works with the Child and Family East team at Sydney Children’s hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital. She is a conjoint lecturer with the University of New South Wales.


Dr Gulliford has worked with children, adolescents and young adults with a wide range of emotional and behavioural problems. This includes mood disorders, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, school refusal, self-harm and suicidal thoughts, ADHD, conduct problems, eating disorders, psychosis, trauma, tic disorders and autism. She has a graduate diploma in family therapy, and has training and experience in several therapies, including Dialectical Behaviour therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mentalisation based therapy, psychodynamic, Family Based Treatment for anorexia nervosa, as well as Circle of Security and Parent Child Interaction Therapy for younger children.
