Krishna completed a science degree with first class honours and then a PhD in neuroanatomy before gaining her medical degree in 2003. In between raising a family and medical research she has worked as a surgical assistant, as an Intern and then Resident Medical Officer at Concord Hospital and as Senior Resident at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital with stints at Sydney Eye Hospital and in general surgery at Broken Hill and Canterbury Hospital. She is interested in all areas of general practice and particularly enjoys interacting with children having recently completed her Diploma in Child Health through Westmead Childrens Hospital. Krishna also has a special interest in aboriginal health and in family planning when not spending time with her own.
