Dr Kiran Sindhu graduated with Honours from the University of Tasmania in 1984 and completed his Ophthalmology training in 1992 at the Sydney Eye Hospital.
Dr Sindhu is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology (RANZCO). His main surgical interests are cataract and glaucoma patients with additional interests in paediatric ophthalmology.
Dr Sindhu commenced private practice in Hobart, Tasmania in 1993 before moving to Sydney in 2001. He has been extensively involved in the teaching of Ophthalmology registrar trainees since 1993 both in Hobart and Sydney.
He is also an Examiner for the RANZCO in Anatomy and Ophthalmic Basic Competencies and Knowledge (OBCK).
His public appointments are in providing the retinopathy of prematurity eye checks and emergency consultations at Blacktown Hospital and extraocular day surgery at Mt Druitt Hospital.
He also has private consulting rooms at Norwest Business Park and Blacktown and consults at Macquarie University Hospital Ophthalmology Clinic.
Private surgery is provided at City West Specialist Day Hospital, Hospital for Specialist Surgery, and Macquarie University Hospital.
