Professor Ken Miles is dual trained in radiology and nuclear medicine with a sub-speciality interest in oncological imaging. He has a particular interest in hybrid imaging that integrates nuclear medicine with radiology (SPECT/CT, PET/CT and PET/MR).
A United Kingdom medical graduate, Professor Miles completed his radiology and nuclear medicine training at Leicester and Cambridge. He was Consultant Radiologist in Nuclear Medicine at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge prior to relocating to the Sunshine Coast in 1995. He has been involved in the establishment of four PET centres worldwide, including The Wesley Hospital, Brisbane. He has an active interest in imaging research and holds an academic appointment at University College, London.
