Kelvin completed his medical degree with honours from the University of Western Australia in 2003. After medical school, he worked initially as a medical registrar in various medical specialties across Perth’s tertiary hospitals. He then spent three years working in geriatrics, including two years in aged care and rehabilitation at Peel Health Campus.

Kelvin undertook specialist training in medical oncology at Royal Perth and Sir Charles Gairdner hospitals. He also completed a clinical diploma in palliative medicine with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and is highly experienced in cancer symptom management.

In addition to his work in Mandurah, Kelvin has a public position at Rockingham General Hospital and a private practice at Joondalup Hospital. He has an interest in improving medical education, enjoys teaching medical students and junior medical staff, and holds a graduate certificate in clinical education from Flinders University.
