Dr Kemp grew up in England and Australia and went to school in New South Wales. She studied medicine in England at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London and qualified as a doctor in 1982.
She worked in paediatrics and obstetrics and gynaecology before entering general practice in 1989.
She became a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in the UK in 1990 and a Fellow of the Royal College of Australian General Practitioners in 1993. Dr Kemp has worked as GP in London and in Australia since 1990, most recently settling in Toowoomba in 2011. She is interested in all aspects of general practice including child health, women’s health, mental health and aged care. She has post-graduate qualifications in child health and obstetrics and gynaecology.
