Karyn completed her Medical degree at Deakin University in 2011 after completing a Bachelor degree in Medical Radiation Science in 2004. She is currently in her final semester of General Practice training and has special interest in women's health, paediatrics, palliative care, health education and disease prevention. Karyn is currently completing additional specialist training and experience in women's health with the Family Planning Association in Newcastle. She has also completed a Diploma of Child Health with the University of Sydney. Karyn is accredited to offer Mirena (IUD) services.
