Originally trained as a speech pathologist at the University of Sydney, Karyn practiced in the UK where she was inspired to change careers after working alongside some talented doctors. She returned to Australia to pursue her interest in Medicine and completed her Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery at The University of Wollongong in 2014. Karyn enjoys the variety of general practice, in particular women’s health, preventative health, paediatrics, dermatology, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and minor surgical procedures. Her passion lies in helping people and their families to achieve their goals for physical and mental well being. Karyn’s interests include the outdoors and fitness, particularly bushwalking and yoga. She and her husband enjoy 4WD touring and have recently completed an extended tour of Outback Australia. She also enjoys pottery and sewing.
