•Practiced Urological Surgery in private and public practice since completing his Fellowship in 1999. •Senior Lecturer in Urology at the School of Surgery , University of Western Australia. •Undergraduate medical training at the University of Western Australia . Postgraduate Urological Surgical training at Royal Perth Hospital , Royal Melbourne Hospital , Austin Repatriation Hospital ( Melbourne , Victoria ) , and Princess Alexander Hospital , Brisbane . See curriculum vitae for more information. • Has performed hundreds of laparoscopic renal procedures. Instructed at numerous surgical workshops teaching this surgery as well as mentoring surgeons in this technique in WA and at Royal Hobart Hospital . Over this time period laparoscopic renal surgery has become the gold standard for renal carcinoma and donor nephrectomy. In WA now all living related donor operations are performed laparoscopically. • In 2004 started laparoscopic radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer. In 2007 trained on the da Vinci Robotic Assisted Surgical System in Sunnyvale , USA . Performed the first Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic Prostatectomy in WA in December 2007 with Dr Richard Pemberton.
