Dr Justin Friebel (MBBS, FRANZCO) is an Associate Ophthalmologist at Eye Surgery Associates who sub-specialises in the area of oculoplastic, eyelid, lacrimal and orbital surgery. This includes common eyelid malposition conditions such as ectropion, entropion, upper eyelid ptosis, excessive eyelid skin and cosmetic eyelid surgery. Dr Friebel graduated from Monash Medical School and undertook ophthalmology training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne. He then spent several years overseas undertaking subspecialist training in oculoplastic surgery in the United Kingdom and Montreal, Canada. He is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Oculoplastic Surgeons. He has public hospital appointments at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, and the Alfred Hospital, and is a lecturer involved in teaching medical students, and junior and senior ophthalmology trainees. He is an anatomy examiner for the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmology.
