Originally from the north of England, Dr Kershaw qualified as a General Practitioner in the UK in 2003. She worked as a GP in the UK for ten years before making the move to Australia.
Dr Kershaw emigrated to Australia in January 2014 for the lovely weather and outdoor lifestyle. She now works fulltime in General Practice alongside her husband, Dr Steven McCarthy, who is also a GP here.
She is a fellow of the Royal College of Australian General Practitioners. She enjoys all aspects of general practice, with a special interest in Womens Health, including contraception such as fitting implants and IUDs. She also has a special interest in minor surgery and has qualifications and experience in Palliative care.
