Dr Julie Lawrence is the Medical Director of the Brighton Day Surgery.
She graduated from Adelaide University in 1982 and trained initially at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre. She commenced her training in Plastic Surgery at Christchurch (NZ) before undergoing further specialist training overseas in England and the United States.
In 1992, Dr Lawrence was admitted as a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in the division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr Lawrence currently holds appointments as a Senior Visiting Medical Officer at the Repatriation General Hospital and lectures and mentors medical students for the Onkaparinga Clinical Education Program through the Flinders University. She is also a facilitator for The Australian and New Zealand Surgical Skills Education and Training Program and is a consultant in hand surgery at Flinders Medical Centre.
Professional experience
Dr Lawrence has extensive experience in breast surgery, including, breast reduction and breast augmentation. She is also experienced in abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) and liposuction (body sculpturing) as well as facial plastic surgery, including face and neck lifts, nose surgery and eyelid surgery.
Dr Lawrence also performs surgery to correct prominent ears, and has a special interest in hand and wrist surgery and all aspects of skin cancer surgery.
