Dr Shrosbree is a specialist Endocrinologist who is committed to ensuring her patients receive evidence-based, personalised and professional care. She has particular interest in osteoporosis, thyroid and pituitary disorders, obesity, type 2 diabetes, diabetes in pregnancy, endocrine disorders associated with anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa and other general endocrine diseases.
Dr Shrosbree graduated with a combined Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (Honours) and Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Sydney. She completed specialist training in Endocrinology at St Vincent’s Hospital, the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, Prince of Wales Hospital Randwick and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Camperdown. Her training included a year of specialized training and research in the area of bone and calcium disorders through the department of Bone Biology at the Garvan Institute of Medical research and St Vincent’s Hospital. Her final year at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital focused on the management of endocrine diseases associated with eating disorders. She was awarded Fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians as an Endocrinologist in 2018.
She regularly attends national and international meetings to ensure she provides her patients with up to date, evidence-based care. She is a member of multiple national and international societies (Australian Diabetes Society, Endocrine Society of Australia, Australian Diabetes in Pregnancy Society, Australian and New Zealand Bone and Mineral Society and the Endocrine Society of America).
Dr Shrosbree has ongoing research at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and the Boden Institute of Obesity, Nutrition, Exercise and Eating Disorders looking at the aetiology and management of amenorrhoea and osteoporosis in the context of anorexia nervosa. She has published her research in peer-reviewed journals and presented her findings at national conferences.
