Dr. Park completed his Ophthalmology training in Brisbane in 2005 and has undertaken further sub-specialty training in the treatment of Surgical and Medical Retinal Diseases in London, United Kingdom. His special interests are diagnosis and treatment of Age-Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Eye Disease, Retinal Detachment, Macular Holes, Epiretinal Membrane, Vitreo-retinal Microsurgery. He uses the most up-to-date treatment and surgical techniques with the latest equipment to deliver exceptional and compassionate care.
He also performs Cataract Surgery, especially those that are technically challenging, often requiring combined vitrectomy surgery.
Dr. Park is a member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, Australia and New Zealand Society of Retina Specialists, an International member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retina Specialists, and is also a member of the European Society of Retina Specialists. He has numerous publications in international peer reviewed literature, has presented at international meetings and attends both International and National Ophthalmology Meetings regularly to keep abreast of the latest scientific advances in diagnosis and management of Retinal Diseases and Cataract Surgery.
Dr. Park holds the title of Senior Lecturer at the University of Qld and is actively involved in the teaching of medical students and next generation of eye specialists at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and Greenslopes Private Hospital.
