Dr John Wong graduated from The University of Adelaide in 2005. He commenced Paediatric training and also subspecialty training in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital (WCH). In 2011 he moved to Melbourne undertaking a fellowship in Respiratory Medicine at the Royal Children’s Hospital. He also actively participated in research activities with the world renowned Australian Respiratory Early Surveillance Team for Cystic Fibrosis (AREST-CF) program. With his research experience he has been invited to speak both in national and international thoracic society conferences. Dr Wong moved back to Adelaide with his family in 2013. He completed his training and received his Fellowship in Paediatrics sub specialising in Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Medicine from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2014. He has particular interests in seeing patients who have: Respiratory conditions/complaints including: Chronic cough Asthma Recurrent respiratory tract infections Unexplained shortness of breath or breathing difficulties Ex premature infants with chronic lung disease Reduced exercise tolerance Chest wall deformity Sleep disorders including: Snoring Obstructive sleep apnoea Restless leg syndrome Dr Wong continues to have a close association with the WCH with admitting rights and participates in education and teaching in this institution.
