John is one of the founding principals of General Practice Cremorne. Growing up on Sydney’s North Shore, John graduated from the University of Newcastle’s Medical School in 1990. During his undergraduate years, he spent time working in a hospital in Southern India, an eye-opening experience to a young student to say the least! After graduating, John worked at various hospitals including Sydney’s St Vincent’s, Wagga and Cairns Base Hospitals where he spent 2 years working in paediatrics and anaesthetics. His post-graduate accomplishments include Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of GPs and Fellowship of the Australian Medical Acupuncture College. He also spent 5 winters in Thredbo as the Thredbo Village doctor, treating ski accidents (lots of fractures and lacerations) as well as all the usual general practice ailments.

After running his own solo practice in Darlinghurst for 2 years, John settled into the Mosman/Cremorne area where he has been a GP since 1995. John’s special interests include acupuncture, seeing new families, men’s health and musculoskeletal and sports injuries, including pain syndromes. His passions are an all-encompassing wholistic approach to medical problems and challenges. He particularly enjoys working with other health professionals to create a customised approach for his patients.

John has admitting and visiting rights at Mosman Private Hospital.

When not working, John enjoys ocean swimming, surfing and spending time with his family.
