Dr John Fraser is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with special interests in lower limb joint replacement, Medico legal assessments and in particular arthroplasty surgery. Dr Fraser has been a Visiting Medical Practitioner at The Wesley Hospital since 1986.
He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery Hons (Qld), Fellow of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. Dr Fraser is a graduate of the University of Queensland. His post-graduate training was undertaken in Brisbane. Following completion of advanced surgical training, Dr Fraser was the Zimmer Travelling Fellow to the United Kingdom. Upon his return from the United Kingdom, Dr Fraser was appointed Director of Orthopaedics at Royal Brisbane Hospital. Thereafter, Dr Fraser was a Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and Royal Children’s Hospital.
