Joel Urban has 13 years of experience as a podiatrist in the private setting. His main interest is in sport/activity related injury, where his assessment focus is in biomechanics. In his time, he has worked with amateur AFL clubs, grade cricket and assisted the Central Coast Mariners A-League football side.
His podiatry group uses the latest in video gait assessment tools and he has experience in semi weightbearing 3D foot scanning / cadcam orthotic modelling and production. His podiatry group is one of only a handful of clinics that is involved in every step of the orthotic (foot supports) manufacture process using these latest technologies. Over the years, Joel has supervised podiatry students in their clinical placement and has a good rapport with GP's, sports physicians, physiotherapists and chiropractors.
Outside of his podiatry work, Joel enjoys AFL football and has part-time employment with Port Adelaide Power AFL club as part of their national recruiting staff.
