Registered Psychologist with clinical endorsement and is a Registered Supervisor for psychologists and students with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA) Jodie is a registered clinical psychologist. She completed her psychology graduate and post-graduate studies at Monash University, and her Doctor of Psychology (Clinical) qualification at Deakin University. She has completed post-graduate training in Interpersonal Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Jodie is also an accredited Psychology Supervisor and Tuning into Kids (Emotionally Intelligent Parenting) facilitator. She has worked in private practice for over 4 years, as well as 7 years within an Inpatient Psychiatric Unit developing and delivering evidence based programs and treatments for a range of psychological disorders. Jodie has significant experience in the assessment and treatment of clinical and non-clinical psychological issues including interpersonal problems (family, parenting and relationship issues) emotional problems, anxiety, stress, depression, work place difficulties, and drug and alcohol problems. She adopts a collaborative approach with clients to determine therapeutic goals and uses a range of psychological interventions to assist in alleviating psychological discomfort. Jodie has experience with both individuals and groups using the therapeutic modalities of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Schema Therapy (ST), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and Supportive Counselling (SC). She has a special interest in attachment theory and the impact of early childhood experiences on current interpersonal functioning. She seeks to use simple language and concepts to assist client to remove the barriers that may be limiting their potential and achievement of life goals.
